Several magical trees deliver a curious message, stemming from the great writers and thinkers who, from Antiquity until our days, have written on trees. The ear pressed to their bark will hear, among other things, La Fontaine’s unhappy oak compete for interest with the just as well-known chestnut from Sartre’s La Nausée (Nausea).
