Maureen Colomar’s drawings, in their purity of trait, highlight the dynamics which the forest happily prolongs. The abstract landscapes, like the lines of the horizon, gain a foothold in the mangrove and seem to reveal roots exposed by the current. All these modest pennants still spell out nature, and thus one can consider the forest like Leibniz’s monad: each forest is “like an entire world”.
